RICS HOME SURVEY - THE IMPORTANCE OF PROPERTY SURVEYS

WHAT TYPES OF SURVEY ARE THERE?
*RICS Condition Report* (Level 1): Ideal for buying or selling conventional houses, flats, or bungalows constructed from common building materials and in reasonable condition, this report provides a visual inspection that is less comprehensive than the RICS Home Survey - Level 2 and RICS Home Survey - Level 3. It features clear 'traffic light' ratings to convey the condition of various building components. While it offers an assessment of the relative importance of defects and problems, it does not include advice on repairs or ongoing maintenance or a property valuation.
*RICS Home Survey Report* (Level 2): If you're buying or selling a property that requires more extensive information, this report is your best option. *RICS Homebuyer Report* (Level 2 with valuation): This report comprises the RICS Home Survey - Level 2 features with the surveyor's professional opinion on the 'market value' of the property, an insurance reinstatement figure, and a list of factors affecting the property's value.
