Your Property, Our Expertise
Our History
Since our establishment in Caerphilly in 1900, Brinsons has provided specialist property advice to generations of property owners throughout South Wales. Founded by Mr Evan Brinson, a local entrepreneur from a farming family, the firm initially advised farmers and landowners on property matters, acting as Auctioneers selling livestock at Nelson market and providing accountancy services to local farmers. Evan Brinson himself was a well-respected Caerphilly businessman, a founding member of the South Wales branch of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV), and a Chartered Surveyor.
Evolution and Growth
Over the years, Brinsons has evolved alongside the changing needs of the property market in South Wales. In 1968, Mr Roderick Brinson, Evan's grandson, took over as sole Principal and steered the practice towards a more modern focus. As farmland surrounding Caerphilly was increasingly developed into housing estates, business parks, and industrial estates, Brinsons shifted its expertise to encompass residential estate agency, lettings, professional services, and commercial property consultancy. This strategic shift proved successful, establishing Brinsons as a leading player in the South Wales property sector.
Brinsons continued to expand and modernise its services. In 1992, the firm relocated to a purpose-built headquarters in Caerphilly, redeveloping the old Castle Cinema on Eastgate (a venue famously host to a Sex Pistols concert in 1976). This expansion allowed for a more comfortable and professional setting for its growing teams of residential estate agents and commercial property specialists.
Leadership and Expansion
Upon Rod Brinson's retirement in 2006, Trevor Isaac stepped in as Managing Director, joined by longtime staff members Michael Griffin and Richard Harris, who became Directors. Michael later retired as a Director in 2014 but continues to contribute to Brinsons as a residential sales Consultant.
During this period of growth, Brinsons further expanded its reach. In 2013, the Cowbridge team relocated to a refurbished showroom on the High Street, establishing a new residential estate agency and incorporating a Monmouthshire Building Society agency into their services. In 2016, Brinsons acquired La Maison, a residential lettings agency in north Cardiff, further solidifying its position as a dominant force in the South Wales property market.
Dedicated Service and Expertise
Despite significant changes over the past century, Brinsons remains committed to its core values of dedicated service, professional expertise, and extensive local knowledge. The firm prides itself on providing a personal approach to all its clients, tailoring its services to meet their specific needs.
From humble beginnings as a small family business, Brinsons has grown into one of Wales' leading practices of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents, offering a comprehensive range of property services across South Wales.
