Our Services

Our services include all levels of asbestos surveys, asbestos management plans, asbestos abatement, including removal and disposal of licensable and non-licensable ACM, as well as training and awareness courses. We also provide advice on potential cost and removal strategies, CDM (Construction Design Management) coordination, demolition advice and contract supervision, and tender and bid advice.

Understanding Asbestos

Asbestos is a general term for six naturally occurring silicate minerals that belong to the serpentine and amphibole mineral classes. There are three main types of asbestos that were widely used in the construction industry between the 1950s and the mid-1980s and are still commonly found throughout the UK. These types of asbestos are Amosite, Chrysotile, and Crocidolite.

The Risks of Asbestos

Exposure to asbestos fibers is proven to be a key contributor in the development of Mesothelioma, Asbestosis, Lung Cancer, and Diffuse Pleural Thickening. These diseases typically develop some years after exposure and can be highly debilitating. It is essential to take precautions when dealing with asbestos-containing materials to avoid the risks associated with their release into the air.

Our Expertise

Our team of fully qualified surveyors hold P402 Bulk Surveys and Bulk Sampling and P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings qualifications, and have obtained further qualifications including BOHS S301, NEBOSH Health and Safety, CSCS Platinum Site Management, and Asbestos Inspector Operative certifications. We are also trained in confined space entry and working at heights.
